Samantha Best is a curator and arts leader with over a decade of experience producing exhibitions, programs, and public art projects across museums, biennials, galleries, and artist-run spaces. She has led multimillion-dollar exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum, managed the citywide art triennial Prospect New Orleans, and served as a founding member of the curatorial team at the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU. Her work has supported internationally acclaimed artists such as Ai Weiwei, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Glenn Ligon, Simone Leigh, Wangechi Mutu, Rashid Johnson, Sharon Hayes, Abbas Akhavan, Martine Syms, Irena Haiduk, Tavares Strachan, Guadalupe Maravilla, and Sanford Biggers, alongside emerging voices through open calls, digital platforms, artist-run initiatives, and university galleries.
